Last weekend DORBA put on the Prayer Mountain Pedal XC MTB Race in association with TMBRA. The race was a complete success with countless volunteer hours and generous sponsors coming together to make a record-breaking race. 501 racers toed the start line and gave it their all on the 8mi course with ~900′ of climbing per lap.

All the local bike shops were in attendance and the race was held on the top of Prayer Mountain at Big Cedar Wilderness Trails. The land is owned by Mountain Creek Community Church which is at the highest point in Dallas. The weather was perfect and the views were incredible as always. The church took care of parking and food and both were reviewed favorably. Racers who got on the podium took home custom awards made out of recycled bike parts and stones found on the property.

I can’t wait to work on topping this next year along with making our fall XC series just as awesome.
